JUMPER 2: Hayden Christensen Says Talks About a Sequel Are Happening

Director Doug Liman‘s (The Bourne Ultimatum) 2008 sci-fi action film Jumper, starring Hayden Christensen (Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith) was a modest hit in theaters but apparently a sequel has been considered from the moment of the original’s release. Christensen says that talks to bring the franchise back to theaters are currently underway.

The actor told MTV:

“We’re talking about it right now actually. Hopefully (it will go) somewhere a little darker. I think there’s a lot you can do with it. It was sort of set up in a way…It’s gonna be mother hunting son and possibly even maybe sister hunting brother. We’re talking about it, trying to figure it out.”

No information on whether or not Samuel L. Jackson (Iron Man 2, The Avengers) will reprise his role as Roland Cox, the leader of the Paladins in the sequel.
