Things are moving right along in the new season of The Vampire Diaries, and from the look of the clips below, we’ll be getting more of that in tonight’s episode “The Five.” So, “The Five”… what? There are some easy guesses, but we may be getting at least a start on the actual answer tonight, according to Joseph Morgan (Klaus).

“We learn a huge secret that fits into the mythology of Mystic Falls and of the Originals’ history. It’s really a big reveal and will play a dominant part in how the season evolves.” Check it out – and don’t worry, he doesn’t spoil:

TV Guide reports that, according to executive producer Julie Plec, “The question of what is different about [Connor the vampire hunter], why is he able to deeply, darkly hunt and kill vampires, what drives him, what his history is and what other people know about his history start to unfold … in that flashback.”
