Joseph Fiennes in Talks for Season 2 of AMERICAN HORROR STORY

The giant thud you heard from the general area of San Diego was me falling over in a dead faint. My tied-for-favorite current show may be casting my not-so-secret crush. That would be American Horror Story negotiating with Joseph Fiennes (Shakespeare in Love, FlashForward) for a major role in its upcoming Season 2.

According to EW, if it works out he’ll be playing the head of the institution for the criminally insane which is the location of all the scary goings-on next season. His character will be romantically involved in a June/November workplace romance with Jessica Lange‘s character, and he will be … “tortured.” We don’t know if that means literally, or psychologically.

My happiness will be complete if they just let him keep his British accent. We’ll keep you posted!

American Horror Story Season 2, starring Jessica LangeZachary QuintoEvan PetersSarah PaulsonLily Rabe, Chloë SevignyJames CromwellAdam Levine, and Lizzie Brocheré, will be premiering this fall on FX.
