Jolie Not Doing Cuaron’s GRAVITY And WANTED 2 Going Ahead Without Her

Saturday, we brought you the a report that stated – Angelina Jolie had dropped out of Wanted 2, and was slated to star in Alfonso Cuarón’s upcoming Sci-Fi film Gravity. Now, it seems that report may have been premature, because Jolie isn’t doing Cuarón’s film after all.

EW is reporting that Jolie’s reps say the actress “passed on doing Gravity at Warner Bros.” and that they cannot confirm whether or not the film is even set up at Warner.

Also, speaking to STV, Wanted creator – Millar has refuted claims that Universal has pulled the sequel because of Jolie’s non-involvement.

Millar said:

“Wanted 2 will be certainly going ahead, because the first one made too much money for them not to do a sequel.

“What was funny was originally Wanted was just going to be one movie, and Angelina dies at the end, Morgan Freeman dies at the end – sorry to anyone who hasn’t bought it yet.”

He continued:

“The idea was that it was going to be self-contained, but the movie cost $75 million to make and it made $314 million back just theatrically. At the premiere the tracking was really good and everything, and the producer came up and said ‘What are we going to do for Wanted 2?’ and I was like ‘I don’t have any ideas!'”
