Finally, there is confirmation that there will indeed be a fourth series of the BBC’s “Torchwood”.

John Barrowman, who plays Captain Jack Harkness, confirmed that he’s signed on to the series on an interview on BBC Radio 2 program “Steve Wright in the Afternoon”.  Barrowman expects the next series will keep with the established thirteen episode run of the first two series.  Fans eagerly await this news after the successful and balls-ey five ep (episode) mini-series, “Children of Earth” that aired this past summer.

Even with this news from Barrowman and previously reported optimistic outlook for a fourth series by show creator and producer, Russell T. Davies, there is not a date set for production to begin.  No confirmation either whether Captain Jack will cross paths with the Matt Smith Doctor Who.

You can listen to the broadcast of the radio show here for a limited time. Skip forward to about 2:23:30 in to get to the beginning of John Barrowman’s interview.
