Is Captain Jack Harkness is trading in his vintage WWII military overcoat to don an apron or perhaps spandex?

Torchwood star, John Barrowman, revealed on Chris Moyles’ Radio One Breakfast Show that he is in talks for a part on the upcoming season of “Desperate Housewives“.

Barrowman announced:

“I’m off to Los Angeles on Sunday again.  I probably shouldn’t say this but I’ve got a meeting with the execs of Desperate Housewives… Can you believe it?  I’m going to be a Desperate Housewife!”

At the Torchwood panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2009, Barrowman flirted with the idea of being cast as Captain America. Whether this was serious or not remains to be seen. Need more John Barrowman in the meantime?  The 42 year old, Glasgow born actor will strap on a pair of high heels and sexy dress for his starring role as Albin/ Zaza in the musical “La cage aux Folles” at the Playhouse theatre in London from September 14^th to November 28th.

In December 12^th to January 24^th, Barrowman will return to Cardiff to play Robin Hood in a pantomime at The New Theatre.
