R.I.P.D. stars Ryan Reynolds who is partnered up with Jeff Bridges as undead cops of the Rest In Peace Department. The film is based on Peter M. Lenkov’s graphic novel of the same name, published by Dark Horse Comics. Robert Schwentke (Red) is directing the project, based on a script by Phil Hay and Matt Manfredi.

The film also stars Kevin Bacon (Crazy, Stupid, Love), Stephanie Szostak (Gimme Shelter), Mary-Louise Parker (Weeds), Mike O’Malley (Glee), Marisa Miller and James Hong (Blade Runner).

Synopsis:

The story of R.I.P.D. follows a cop, Nick Walker (Ryan Reynolds), killed in the line of duty, who is recruited by a team of undead police officers working for the Rest in Peace Department, a police force comprised of ghosts who battle spirits unready to depart this world. He then tries to find the man who murdered him.

R.I.P.D. is slated to hit theaters on June 28th, 2013.
