Recently, 20th Century Fox officially confirmed that Matthew Vaughn (Kick-Ass, Layer Cake) would helm X-Men: First Class. Now, we hear that Vaughn will be bringing his Kick-Ass and Stardust writing partner, Jane Goldman on board to re-write the script.

The first tip that the charming and talented, pink haired vixen would be re-writing the script came from her husband, Brit TV Host and comic book writer, Jonathan Ross.

Ross said via @wossy on twitter,

“G;night all. The wife is away writing X Men 4 so I am off to bed with little Sweeney alone. He will keep my feet warm and my spirits high.”

“Also, for those who need to know, my wife IS currently writing X men First Class. It’s just referred to as X men 4 around the house…”

“I am afraid I better not answer any more queries re X Men First Class for fear of spoilers and also possible divorce. Thank you.”

“By which I mean my lovely wife would be cross, not that we are actually getting one!!”

X-Men: First Class is slated to hit theaters on June 3, 2011.
