James Cameron Meets Marc Web To Discuss SPIDER-MAN 3D

Due to the success of James Cameron’s Avatar, it seems as though every new movie in the pipeline is slated to be converted to 3D. Now comes word from Producer Jon Landau that he and Mr. Cameron have taken a meeting with the upcoming director of the new Spider-Man film, Marc Webb.

Landau said,

“Last [week] we met the director of [the next ‘Spider-Man’ film],[Webb] wants to do the next one in 3-D, which they’ve announced that they want to do. So, we want to try to support that as much as possible.”

Landau also spoke a bit about how filmmakers should be doing 3D,

“Other movies are turning to it now, some of which I agree with, some of which I don’t agree with. ‘Clash of The Titans’ is coming out in 3-D; they’re converting it very hastily into 3-D. I’m not in favor if that, If you want to shoot a 3-D movie, shoot it in 3-D.”
