Look out, Gotham. Jada Pinkett Smith has been cast to flex her noteworthy muscle, perhaps both literal and figurative, as sadistic hot-headed crime boss and nightclub owner Fish Mooney in the upcoming Fox series. Mooney will reportedly have an uncanny ability to read people, which no doubt gives her quite an edge.

According to TVLine, she’ll be bossing around the likes of none other than our favorite Penguin, Oswald Cobblepot (Robin Lord Taylor) in this Batman origin show. As a crime boss, she will of course find herself up against Detective Gordon (Ben McKenzie) and his partner Detective Harvey Bullock (Donal Logue) and their boss Captain Essen (Zabryna Guevara).

No casting news yet as to who will be playing the preteen Bruce Wayne, and no word yet on when the series will light up our screens. We’ll keep you posted.
