IRON MAN And Tony Stark Invade Toy Fair

Gahhhhh… oh, sorry! I was just drooling over these new “Iron Man” toys from Hasbro and figurines from the Kotobukiya collection. Check out what Hasbro has unveiled at the Toy Fair convention this year that ranges from action figures inspired by the Iron Man armor from the comics (and their ridiculously large weaponry), other members of Iron Man’s rogues gallery, vehicles from the next film, a wearable helmet that lights up when you put it on, a Mr. Potatohead version of Iron Man (Tony Starch), and … wait for it… a radio-controlled Iron Man that walks by itself and shoots missiles! Here’s a vid from that Toy Fair and then scroll down for even more from Kotobukiya.

I’m just tickled to see that Robert Downey Jr. stopped by the booth to play with his own action figures.

Behold, the Iron Man Mark VI Statue! This statue from the Kotobukiya collection shows off the design of Tony Stark’s Mark VI suit in the upcoming “Iron Man 2”.

Take a look at the statue’s official description:

“In celebration of the first “Iron Man” film came two Fine Art Statues of the super hero’s armored suits: Iron Man Movie Mark II and Mark III. With the upcoming release of “Iron Man 2” in May of 2010, Kotobukiya is proud to add the Iron Man Movie Mark VI Fine Art Statue to the Marvel Studios collection! Robert Downey Jr. will be reprising his role as Tony Stark with multiple new and improved armored suits, culminating in the ultimate Mark VI!

After surviving imprisonment by terrorists, billionaire industrialist Tony Stark created the Mark II armor suit. This was followed up soon after by the iconic red and gold Mark III suit used to battle Stane and his Iron Monger suit at the culmination of the first film. In the sequel, the ever-productive Stark improves on his own designs yet again, creating not only additional Iron Man armors but also the famous War Machine! The absolute cutting edge in high-tech personal armor suit and man-sized weaponry, sleeker and more powerful than the previous versions, the Mark VI is visually impressive and will look great in your collection!

Iron Man Movie Mark VI Fine Art Statue from Kotobukiya
Iron Man stands nearly 14 inches tall (1/6th scale) atop an exclusive cylindrical Repulsor Transmitter base. Like the previous Iron Man ARTFX Statues, the Mark VI includes LED lights in the eyes, chest, fists and base! In addition, the Mark VI has been further refined with a stronger LED light sequence, sharper edges on the base, and increased paint applications. The Mark VI constructed of high-quality cold cast porcelain, is individually numbered on the bottom of the base as part of a Limited Edition. An amazing statue on its own, the Mark VI is also a perfect companion piece to the armors from the first film!

SRP: $174.99; available in August.”
