Warehouse 13 “Elements” #105 (Season 1, Episode 5)
Original airdate: August 4, 2009
Summary:
Pete and Myka head to New York to investigate how a certain sculpture was stolen. They discover that an artifact allows the thief to walk through solid matter. The thief is after a series of sculptures that holds the location of a Native American cave guarding artifacts that control the 4 elements of creation- rock, wind, water, and fire. The person who has all of these artifacts would become incredibly powerful.
- Joe Flannigan guest stars in this ep as Jeffery Weaver, one of the two rich men seeking the sculptures. Jeff ends up helping out Pete and Myka.
- Apparently, staking a power-hungry real estate developer with an artifact will terminate and destroy the god-like transformation of the 4 element assimilation. (pictured right- Pete staking real estate developer)
- Claudia pushes Joshua to get on with his life, but yet, doesn’t have a clear direction for her own as her own goal of bringing him back has been achieved. She is afraid of being alone. Artie pulls some strings and Joshua is going to CERN, a research laboratory in Switzerland to smash atoms and offers Claudia a spot on the W13 team.
- Thank you, Syfy for adding Claudia to the W13 team. Leena, the aura reader is a Greek-chorus sort of character, but Claudia is a bolt of fire and fresh air at the same time that the show really needed.
- Yay for Joe Flannigan guest starring! But the whole episode, I kept thinking of him as John Sheppard and it was just… well… distracting, but it was good to see him again on Syfy.
- I think that Syfy’s trying to go for a Castle/ Beckett (of ABC’s crime dramedy, Castle) dynamic, but Myka is a far cry from Kate Beckett! I agree with Pete. When Myka is not smiling, she is “kinda frightening”!
- Again, why do things that let you walk through walls still let you walk on ground? And the green screen effect on walking into the cave was horribly amateur.
- Seriously, is this show cool enough to use Portishead in its score?
- Holy crap, I just realized that Claudia and I share almost the same haircut!
