How Is PARADISE LOST Like AVATAR? Bradley Cooper Explains


Over the last few months, casting of Alex Proyas’ adaptation of John Milton’s epic 17th-century poem, Paradise Lost, continued on with a highly anticipated reunion of Rufus Sewell with Proyas and the casting of Sam Reid, Dominic Purcell, Diego Boneta, Callan McAuliffe, Casey Affleck and Camilla Belle.

Now, we have some news to share on the visual style of the Warner Bros/ Legendary Pictures film. Up till now, we only had an image of star Bradley Cooper as Lucifer. In a recent interview with Empire, Cooper revealed that his performance is captured through a motion-capture system that has evolved from the technology used in James Cameron’s Avatar. Cooper also talked about how they decided to capture Lucifer’s fall through Cooper’s vocalization of the character.

Synopsis:

Lucifer (Bradley Cooper) and Michael (Benjamin Walker), God’s greatest archangels, share the bond of extraordinary friendship until God produces his greatest creation: Man. Unable to remain subservient to God if it means bowing down to humanity, Lucifer begins his dark descent and is cast out – only to plot his revenge.

Paradise Lost begins production at the turn of the year in Sydney is slated to hit theaters in 2013.
