Out of this World: Extraordinary Costumes from Film and Television highlights our nation’s rich entertainment history through more than 40 costumes, props, and models from some of the most popular films and television shows spanning 60 years, including “Star Wars,” “The Wizard of Oz,” “Ghostbusters,” “Indiana Jones,” “Star Trek,” “Batman,” and eight more iconic franchises. Out of this World examines how costume design incorporates color, style, scale, materials, historical traditions, and cultural cues to help performers and audiences engage, in new or accepted ways, with the characters being portrayed. Included in general admission; special exhibition prices apply.
