We haven’t heard many updates on the state of the Terminator franchise in quite some time. Now we have word that Arnold Shwarzenegger is set to reprise his role as The Terminator in a new installment of the franchise to be directed by Justin Lin (Fast Five).

Deadline reports that CAA is shopping a rights package to various studios with both Schwarzenegger and Lin attached, though no screenwriter is yet in place. Their sources say that Universal, Sony, Lionsgate and CBS are all considering the proposal.
