Director Joss Whedon and his band of heroes, including Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Chris Evans (Captain America), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow) , Mark Ruffalo (The Hulk), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury) and Clark Gregg (Phil Coulson) will not be going into production on Marvel Studios‘ forthcoming team-up film, The Avengers until April.

Now, reports claim that Marvel has already cut a secret teaser trailer for the movie, which could be seen this summer before Thor or Captain America: The First Avenger. AICN reports that Loki (Tom Hiddleston) is featured in that teaser trailer, and LatinoReview reaffirms that Loki will return in The Avengers as the main villain, and adds that he will use the “cosmic cube” from Captain America: The First Avenger to summon The Skrulls to invade Earth and battle The Avengers.
Although these reports are plausible, and the info is from reliable folks, all of this should probably be considered rumor for now. If it is all true, what do you think? Let me know in the comments.
The Avengers is slated to hit theaters on May 4th, 2012.
