David Heyman, producer of all eight Harry Potter films, sets magic within his sights again with an adaptation of the fantasy book Night Circus, the debut novel of Erin Morgenstern. The book on which the film will be based is due out in September of this year from Knopf Doubleday.
According to THR, Heyman will pursue this next project with Summit Entertainment and is in talks to produce Night Circus. Check out the summary of the book:
Synopsis:
The story is set at beginning of the 19th century, telling the story of two young magicians, pawns in an age-old rivalry between their mercurial, illusionist fathers, and the enchanted circus where their competition (and romances) play out. Fates of everyone involved, from creators and performers to patrons, hang in the duo’s balance.
