As we told you back in June, G4 is bringing Blade Anime to us in 2012. Now we’re happy to tell you that they’ve cast the lead voice actor, and it’s a familiar voice to Losties, especially if he ever has the need to call out for someone named “WALT!” Yes, Harold Perrineau has been cast as Blade in the upcoming series.

According to Digital Spy:

“It’s very exciting and a very cool job,” Perrineau said at New York Comic-Con this weekend. “I get to wield a sword and kill vampires and just generally be a badass.”

So, probably no “WALT!”, at least not in the same panic-stricken way. Still, we’re always happy to see – or at least hear – our favorite former island-dwellers in new productions. All the best to Mr. Perrineau on the new gig, from your fans at SciFi Mafia.
