Japan has the honor of hosting the first life-size Gundam ever made.

This 60 foot tall Gundam RX-78-2 replica was built by Bandai to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Anime series ‘Mobile Suit Gundam’.

The replica stands over Tokyo Bay’s Odaiba Island, and will be on display throughout the Summer. The Gundam suit has the exact proportions and specifications as the one developed for the series.
