Guillermo del Toro is developing and producing an adaptation of the DC Comics character Deadman.

Warner Brothers has apparently set Danish filmmaker Nikolaj Arcel (Island of Lost Souls) to direct.

The film will follow a a circus tightrope walker who is murdered and returns as a ghost with the ability to inhabit the bodies of others in order to find his killer.

Deadman first appeared in Strange Adventures #205 (in October 1967) and was created by Arnold Drake and Carmine Infantino. Deadman also made a recent appearance in the new animated series ‘Batman: The Brave and the Bold” aptly titled “Dawn of the Deadman”
