The latest installment in the Universal Studios’ Jurassic Park franchise, Jurassic World which is being directed by Colin Trevorrow (Safety Not Guaranteed) had been rumored to be circling Josh Brolin (Men in Black 3) for the lead. It seems that, while that deal has fallen through, a new deal is circling Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt.
The part that Chris Pratt would be up for is a rugged ex-military type, according to THR. He would be playing opposite the already confirmed Bryce Dallas Howard (Terminator Salvation), who is set to play a scientist, and Ty Simpkins (Iron Man 3) and Nick Robinson (The Kings of Summer), who are set to play her nephews.
Jurassic World starring Bryce Dallas Howard, Ty Simpkins and Nick Robinson is slated to hit theaters June 12, 2015.
