Grosse Pointe Blank Writer to Pen THE NIGHT STALKER For Edgar Wright and Johnny Depp

Back in February, we brought you the news when Johnny Depp’s production company Infinitum Nihil and Walt Disney Pictures hired writer-director Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World) on board to direct their feature film adaptation of the 1970’s television movie and subsequent TV series, The Night Stalker.

Now, THR reports that D.V. DeVincentis (Grosse Pointe Blank, Lay the Favorite) has been hired to pen the script, based on the original story which followed tabloid reporter Carl Kolchak in his investigations into vampires, zombies, werewolves, and aliens.

No production or release dates have been announced for The Night Stalker.
