While speaking to MTV on the red carpet for the National Board of Review in NYC, Ivan Reitman confirmed that he would indeed be directing Ghostbusters III. Reitman also confirmed that Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky have completed a first draft of the script, and they are currently working on a second.

They have delivered a draft. We are working our way through another draft… good work is being done and all of us have our fingers crossed.

Rietman wouldn’t address what that “good work” was but said,

“There’s some very cool things in the new draft, let’s just put it that way.”

“I hope to start shooting in this next year.”
