Gerry Anderson Says The New Thunderbirds Are GO!

Thunderbirds creator, Gerry Anderson is bringing the Tracy family and their International Rescue organization back to television for a new series. The original British Supermarionation series from the mid-1960s was immensely popular in the U.K. and formed a cult following the U.S., which saw a resurgence when it was aired on the now defunct US cable television network TechTV (now G4) from 2002 through 2004.

Fanderson reports that the creator spoke with BBC Radio about his new Thunderbirds series, and though he couldn’t speak too much about it due to a non-disclosure agreement, Anderson did say –

“I don’t want to sound conceited, but because I’m going to make it…I’m confident that it will be a smash hit!”
