Fan-boys and girls, ladies and gents! Heed the call- Joss Whedon wants YOU. Yes, you read that right. If you are a die-hard fan of the geekverse and have costumed up for San Diego’s geek-centric Comic-Con, Whedon would like an audience with you. Whedon along with “Super Size Me” director Morgan Spurlock is working on a documentary “about Comic-Con that will be centered on a still-to-be-cast group of convention-going superfans”. YOU could be one of these superfans!
A source close to the project describes the documentary in these terms:
“They want to follow people for about three months leading up to this year’s Comic-Con. And then they want to film them there. They’re looking at all types of people.”
Spurlock is no stranger to courting superfans- last summer he was at the San Diego Comic-Con scouting for “Simpsons” superfans for a documentary for the twentieth anniversary of the show.
Oddly enough, neither Whedon nor Spurlock has commented on this news yet, but keep it here on SciFiMafia for continuing coverage!
