Gareth Edwards Joins Forces With Timur Bekmambetov For Sci-Fi Thriller


We have been bringing you everything we can get our hands on about director Gareth Edwards indie sci-fi film Monsters, which stars Whitney Able and Scoot McNairy. Luckily there hasn’t been a shortage of posters, different versions of the trailer and a really cool behind the scenes featurette on the truly indie film.

Edwards recently debuted Monsters at the Toronto International Film Festival and according to Deadline, he also scored his next gig to write and direct a new, untitled sci-fi thriller that is being co-produced by director Timur Bekmambetov (Wanted, Vikrutasi) and Jim Lemley (9).

No specific story details have been revealed but Edwards described the movie as “An epic human story, set in a futuristic world without humanity.”

Gareth Edwards‘ current film Monsters is slated to hit VOD, iTunes, Playstation Network, and Xbox Live on September 24th, theaters in NY and LA on October 29th and UK theaters on November 12th.
