One of the best things about the Saturn Awards, bestowed annually by The Academy of Science Fiction Fantasy and Horror Films (SciFiMafia.com’s esteemed editor in chief is amongst the members), is that the winners are almost always familiar, and are almost always amongst our favorite movies, shows, and people in front of and behind the cameras.
The awards have expanded beyond recognizing and celebrating science fiction, fantasy, and horror, to include action, adventure, thrillers, dark drama, independent films, international film releases, and “all forms of edgy entertainment.”
