Fox Looks To Concoct Explosive Sci-Fi Project With James Cameron, Sam Worthington, TRANSFORMERS Producer, And CALL OF DUTY Writer

20th Century Fox is cooking up an explosive combination of talent for a sci-fi action project called Myth from Call of Duty writer, Will Staples. The studio seeks to reunite Avatar director James Cameron with actor Sam Worthington with the addition of Transformers producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura to the project.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Myth has caught the eye of the Oscar-winning director and Cameron is interested in executive producing the project with di Bonaventure and Worthington also producing. It is interesting to note that Cameron will not be directing and Worthington will not be starring in Myth as of yet.

It’s still very early on in the development process of this project and almost nothing is known about Myth save that “it’s big, it’s sci-fi, and it’s got lots of action.” Well, that’s about as descriptive as unobtanium, but let’s give it the benefit of the doubt, shall we?

When Cameron and Worthington have the time to work on Myth is questionable as well as they should be working on two back-to-back Avatar sequels. It’s still early in the development stage of Myth, so anything could happen now, but keep it here on SciFi Mafia for the latest on Myth.
