It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Well, one of them, anyway. Comic-Con is right around the corner, and the networks are announcing their premiere dates for their fall schedules. The hope and possibilities make me all misty-eyed. We’ve heard from The CW, and now we’ve heard from Fox.
Sadly, of course, the Fox schedule no longer includes Fringe. Happily, it does include two shows with Fringe connections: Sleepy Hollow‘s co-creators are Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, co-creators (with J.J. Abrams) of Fringe. Fortunately we won’t have to wait too long for the Sleepy Hollow premiere, as it will arrive on Monday, September 16 at 9/8c.
Unfortunately we’ll need to wait longer – I HATE WAITING – for my personal pick for most eagerly anticipated new fall show, Almost Human; we won’t be seeing it until Monday, November 4 at 8/7c. And the Fringe connection there? Its co-creators are J.J. Abrams (of course, co-creator of Fringe) and J. H. Wyman (Fringe showrunner).

SLEEPY HOLLOW: From co-creators/executive producers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci comes the adventure thriller SLEEPY HOLLOW. In this modern-day retelling of Washington Irving’s classic, ICHABOD CRANE (Tom Mison) is resurrected and pulled two and a half centuries through time to find that the world is on the brink of destruction and that he is humanity’s last hope, forcing him to team up with a contemporary police officer (Nicole Beharie, pictured) to unravel a mystery that dates back to the founding fathers. The adventure thriller SLEEPY HOLLOW premieres this fall on FOX.
