Follow The Yellow Brick Road To A New WIZARD OF OZ

There has been talk over the years about various Wizard of Oz remakes, reboots etc. Now, Warner Bros is said to be considering two different treatments for a remake of The Wizard of Oz. The first is based on a script written by Darren Lemke who helped write Shrek Forever After, called Oz and is being housed at New Line Cinema and produced by Temple Hill, one of the companies behind Twilight.

The second heads off in a darker direction and is being managed directly by Warner Bros, with a script that was written by Josh Olson who wrote David Cronenberg’s A History of Violence and features Dorothy’s granddaughter returning to the Land of Oz fight evil (Alice In Wonderland anyone?).
