Fire Destroys HOGWARTS On The Set Of Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows

The set of Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows has been damaged after a fire ripped through Leavesden Studios on Friday evening. The blaze began when explosives used for the climactic Battle of Hogwarts sequence set the scenery on fire. Six fire engines rushed to Leavesden, and firefighters fought the flames for 40 minutes. However, much of the Hogwarts set was reportedly ruined.

Although some actors were still filming, no-one was injured in the fire. Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson were not involved in the incident.

A source said,

“We were shooting the scenes where Hogwarts gets blown up in battle, but fire managed to catch hold of the set and it went up in flames. It was completely out of control at one point”.

“The special effects guys involved are devastated. There’s always a risk when there’s shooting involving fire and explosives but this shouldn’t happen.”

A spokesperson for Warner Bros confirmed there was a fire but insisted that production is going ahead.
