Felicia Day Forecast: 100% Chance Of GUILD Renewal, 50% Gun-Toting, Slight Chance Of Resurrection

Felicia Day is one busy gal! She’s just gotten word from Xbox/Microsoft that her show “The Guild” has just been picked up for a fourth season. “The Guild” just won a Streamy last weekend for Best Directing in A Comedy Web Series for The Guild“‘s Sean Becker and Day, herself, won Best Actress in a Comedy Web Series for the second consecutive year. Here Day talks about the win as one for “geek girls everywhere”:

“It means quite a lot, because I created this role for myself because I didn’t see that role out there and I didn’t see myself getting that role even if it was out there in Hollywood. That’s just the way I am. I’m a little quirky. This is for geek girls everywhere. I hope I continue to make content in the future and act in roles in the future that inspire people to go on and create themselves.”

Day is also starring in one of SyFy’s fairytale remakes. In “Red” she is a member of a long line of werewolf hunters and she gets to kick some ass in this film:

“I will tell you, I’ve got some guns on me. I got to kick some people in the face again and carry around a gun. I’ve got to tell you, it’s so much fun.”

“It was actually a real flashback to Buffy, because we were flying around on wires and kicking people and shooting. Well, not shooting, but stabbing. It was really fun. It’s a pretty dramatic piece, so it was really fun to stretch that muscle and be a tough girl a little bit, kind of like the Dollhouse role that I did, but even tougher.”

Did you know that Day almost majored in folklore in college? She explains her interest in this type of literature:

“I am a huge fairy tale lover. I actually wanted to get a folklore degree at one point during college. I’m kind of a nerd about fairy tales, so when I read that, I was like, ‘Whoa, why didn’t I think of that idea?’ To be included randomly after I even thought that, I was like, ‘This is fantastic. I’m so excited.’ I feel like the role is pretty perfect for me,” she said, “It was four weeks, and it was fun.”

As for a resurrection involving Felicia Day, fans would love to see Day’s “Dr. Horrible” character, Penny come back. When asked about how she thought it would work out, Day states that in-Whedon-she-trusts:

“I’m a writer as well. I know how hard it is to fall in love with a character and want to bring them back, but maybe not have the right moment for it. Listen, if they bring me back, I will do anything, but other than that, I know that they’ll do a best effort for bringing me back and including me.”
