It’s official! Eliza Dushku will indeed star in the Torchwood motion comic spin-off, Torchwood: Web of Lies. SciFi Mafia previously reported to you that Torchwood writer Jane Espenson (Dollhouse, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, BSG) hinted on Dushku’s casting in the project two weeks ago.

Espenson has teamed up with Torchwood: Miracle Day writer Ryan Scott to co-write the ten three-minute chapters of the motion comic. Web of Lies, developed by BBC Worldwide, will follow the lead of Starz’ motion comic spin-off for Spartacus.

Web of Lies will also star the voices of John Barrowman as Captain Jack Harkness and Eve Myles as Gwen Cooper.

Look for Torchwood: Web of Lies to hit the net just before the premiere of the BBC/Starz’ Torchwood: Miracle Day on July 8, 2011. A new chapter will be released after every new episode of Miracle Day.
