Even More Casting News for MOCKINGBIRD LANE Pilot

Last week we told you that the main cast was in place for Mockingbird LaneBryan Fuller‘s (Pushing Daisies) reboot of The Munsters, but we now have two more bits of casting: a secondary character and a guest star that should prove to be terrific additions to an already terrific cast.

TVLine has announced that Fuller favorite Beth Grant, who played a character named Marianne Marie Beattle in Fuller’s Wonderfalls and in Fuller’s Pushing Daisies, is set to play nosy neighbor “Maryanne” in the upcoming pilot. Hmmm… But excellent, we love nosy neighbors!

Meanwhile, Deadline has reported that Cheyenne Jackson (30 Rock) will be guest starring on the pilot as Eddie Munster’s (Mason Cook) scout master Steve, a charming and upbeat widower who reportedly takes a shine to Eddie’s mom Lily Munster, played by Portia de Rossi. Presumably this won’t go over too well with Lily’s husband Herman, played by Jerry O’Connell.

Also cast in the pilot are Charity Wakefield as cousin Marilyn, and Eddie Izzard as Grandpa. Bryan Singer (X-Men, X2) is set to direct the pilot which is said to be shooting this summer. We are REALLY HOPING that things will go well and that NBC will love the pilot and pick up the show for a midseason series.

We’ll keep you posted.
