We had reported back in May that writing and directing brothers, Peter and Michael Spierig had reunited with their Daybreakers star Ethan Hawke to work on a new project, a time-traveling thriller entitled Predestination. Today we can report that playing opposite of Ethan Hawke will be Australian actress, Sarah Snook (Sleeping Beauty 2010).
Predestination will start filming in Melbourne, Australia on April 8th with Arclight Films. It is being produced by Tim McGahan and Patrick McDonald and is based on a short story by Robert A. Heinlein, according to Deadline.
Here’s the synopsis.
A riveting adventure through time centered on a secret government time traveling agency designed to prevent future killers and terrorists from committing their crimes.
PREDESTINATION chronicles the life of a Temporal Agent sent on an intricate series of time-travel journeys designed to ensure the continuation of his law enforcement career for all eternity. Now, on his final assignment, the Agent must recruit his younger self while pursuing the one criminal that has eluded him throughout time.
This looks really interesting and I am really looking forward to seeing whether or not this will land stateside. The IMDb page has a notation for USA 2014, so we’ll see that as a ray of hope.
Will keep you posted on the latest with Predestination starring Ethan Hawke and Sarah Snook.
