Earlier today, we told you that Sony Pictures had moved the release date for director Neill Blomkamp‘s (District 9) forthcoming sci-fi film Elysium, starring Sharlto Copley (Men in Black III) and Matt Damon (True Grit, The Adjustment Bureau), Wagner Moura (Elite Squad, Elite Squad 2), Jodie Foster (Carnage) and William Fichtner (The Dark Knight, Drive Angry 3D) from March 8th, 2013 to March 1st, 2013.

Now, Deadline reports that Blomkamp has another addition to his already stellar cast for his sophomore outing. The lovely Alice Braga (The Rite, On the Road), who you may remember as the eagle-eyed sniper in the Robert Rodriguez produced Predators has joined the cast. Her exact role is currently unknown.

Production on Elysium is set to begin in July, and the film is slated to hit theaters on March 1st, 2013.
