Earth’s Mightiest Heroes hit $600 Million in Domestic Box Office Cash

Last month, we brought you the news when Walt Disney Pictures reported that The Avengers crossed the $1.32 billion mark in worldwide box office bank, swiftly on their way towards Titanic‘s $2,183,394,188 worldwide box office, and maybe even Avatar‘s $2,782,275,172 worldwide box office.

Now, thanks to hitting $600 million at North American theaters, The Avengers has officially become the third highest-grossing film in box office history, behind Avatar and Titanic. With the remainder of its current theatrical run, and rumors of a limited return to theaters with Joss Whedon‘s supposed director’s cut of the film, the overall box office for the film is likely to be astronomical.

The Avengers directed by Joss Whedon and starring Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Samuel L. Jackson, Jeremy Renner, Clark Gregg and Tom Hiddleston is in theaters now!
