DreamWorks Animation To Adapt Oni Press Comic Series MAINTENANCE

DreamWorks Animation has acquired the rights to the Oni Press comic book series, Maintenance. Created by Jim Massey and illustrated by Robbi Rodriguez, the series follows the adventures of two custodians who work for TerroMax Inc., the world’s biggest and best evil-science think tank. When they’re not tackling toxic-spill monsters and time-machine repairs, they have to deal with their boss, mad scientists, jetpack-equipped cavemen, alien repo men and the cute receptionist.

THR reports that DreamWorks Animation picked up the series in turnaround, after Warner Bros., who originally acquired the rights to the property over three years ago with plans to develop it as a vehicle for McG (Terminator Salvation) let it go.

You can check out a 32 page preview of the comic on the Oni Press website

No production or release dates for Maintenance have been announced.
