The newest member to ABC’s “FlashForward” cast is a familiar face from “Battlestar Galactica”. James Callis, aka Dr. Gaius Baltar, will be guest starring in a significant and recurring role in this season’s latter episodes. Whether or not he will be the cause of the earth’s destruction still remains to be seen, but “FlashForward” showrunner, Jessika Borsiczky is excited to have Callis aboard:

“When I watched Battlestar, every time he wasn’t in a scene I couldn’t wait for him to come back. And I really wanted to have an opportunity to work with him. Honestly, since the show was ordered, we’ve been excited to work with him.”

The only hint we have on Callis’ role is that he will be entangled within Olivia Benson’s (played by Sonya Walger) storyline.

“FlashForward” returns with new episodes on March 18 at 8/7c on ABC.
