Doctor Who: Season Finale Prequel Trailer and TV Spot, Plus Some Bad News

How great was “Closing Time”? Hands raised, how many agree that “Stormageddon, Dark Lord of All” is one of the best character names ever? And how creepy were those closing minutes? Are you thirsting for more Doctor Who, and yet dreading that the season finale is almost upon us? We have a temporary cure: BBC America has released a season 6 finale prequel trailer and a TV spot.

But first, as mentioned in the title, there is some bad news to report. According to Blastr, season 7 won’t be premiering in the spring as is usual, but will be delayed until autumn 2012. It was therefore probably a small blessing that season 6 was chopped into two parts; if the entire run had been over by summer, it would have been that much longer until season 7.

To help ease the pain of that bad news, here is that season finale prequel we promised:

And the TV spot for the finale:

The Doctor Who Season 6 finale, starring Matt Smith, Karen Gillan, Arthur Darvill, and Alex Kingston, airs Saturday, October 1 at 9/8c. on BBC America.
