One-half of the District 9 producing duo, Bill Block (the other being Peter Jackson) is developing a new science fiction film called Alien Sleeper Cell. Morgan Davis Foehl (Crosshair) is writing a script based on a pitch by Felipe Linz. The film will be produced by Adrian Askarieh (Hitman, Kane and Lynch) and Bill Block (The Fields, Elysium).

Details on the project are being kept hush/hush but, it’s being described as a high tension alien invasion picture with the tone of The Bourne Identity, concerning “otherworldly beasties”

According to Variety, Block’s QED International and Askarieh’s production company, Prime Universe will package the project and seek independent financing or partner with a studio to fund the film.
