About a week ago, we brought you news that Mads Mikkelson, the Casino Royale baddie, is in negotiations to star as “one of the villans” of Walt Disney Pictures and Marvel Studios’ Thor 2. Now we’ve got an update on the release date for this sequel starring Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston.

According to Deadline, Walt Disney Pictures is moving the release date up a week to November 8, 2013. So, delivering Thor and Loki to an eager comic book audience a week early? Who can complain?

Thor 2 will begin production late this summer and is slated to hit theaters on November 8th, 2013.
