Director Shawn Levy May Kickstart Life Into Fox’s Untitled FRANKENSTEIN Film

As we reported to you last week, director Shawn Levy (Real Steel, Night at the Museum) may pass on the stuck-in-development-hell Fantastic Voyage, a project that is in partnership with James Cameron‘s Lightstorm Entertainment and 20th Century Fox. The heavy CGI film has a script but is having trouble putting together the right cast especially with Levy seeking an A-list star to headline the project.

According to Deadline, Levy may indeed move on from Voyage to direct another 20th Century Fox  project, the untitled Frankenstein film. As of this past June, the studio tapped Max Landis (Chronicle) to write the screen play and was searching for a director to helm the project based on Mary Shelley’s classic novel. Fox is eyeing Levy to kickstart this project to get in front of the many other Frankenstein-related films in development right now. The studio aims to begin production this winter.
