Way back in 2009, we brought you the news when Legendary Pictures began development on a feature adaptation of the Warren Ellis comic book series, Gravel. Which is being produced by Rick Alexander, and Warren Ellis is serving as both executive producer and penning the screenplay.

Now, Deadline reports that Tim Miller, who was hired by 20th Century Fox last year to helm the big-screen adaptation of Deadpool has been hired to direct Ellis’ Gravel, which revolves around William Gravel, a soldier in the British S.A.S. who uses his skills in dark magic to moonlight and battle supernatural beings for clients in order to make some extra cash.

No release date has been announced for Gravel.
