DC has withdrawn its lawsuit against an independent retailer that it claimed was selling unauthorized figurines of characters from the 1960s Batman television show.
John Stacks, who distributed the resin figurines from his website johnnyresin.com, claimed that they were legitimately endorsed by the Batman actors.
Stacks no longer produces the figurines or the kits to make them, reports Tampa Bay Online.
On his website Stacks wrote:
“I encourage all fans to buy licensed products only. When you buy products not licensed by DC Comics you only hurt the hobby. Let’s all work together to keep Batman Alive.”
The lawsuit was withdrawn ‘without prejudice’, which means it could be filed again.
