DC Comics has teamed with Korean video game studio NCsoft to release a limited edition book based on upcoming fantasy MMO Aion.

The comic, titled Aiva’s Story, is written by David Noonan and Ricardo Sanchez, with artwork from Neil Googe. It will be available to US customers who purchase the title from GameStop, and in Canada through Electronics Boutique.

Telling the story of an Asmodian girl whose family is killed by an Elyos raiding party, the book is a tale of hardship and revenge. After training hard and ascending to become a Daeva, the girl is able to face the “sun-cursed” race in the Abyss.

DC Comics has previously found success with video game adaptations, including its ongoing World Of Warcraft series, which has become an integral part of the game’s expanded universe.
