You probably remember David Anders best from his role as Adam Monroe on “Heroes” as the person whose special ability was the inability to die… who actually did die later on in the series. Last season’s finale on the CW’s “Vampire Diaries”, he played the “uncle” to Elena, Johnathan Gilbert, who possessed a magical ring that kept him from being killed… and had his fingers chopped off and got a bellyful of a kitchen knife, but his character might not actually be dead yet.
Anders revealed that he will be back for the show’s sophomore season premiere this fall. He teases:
“People don’t always die from knife wounds.”
What’s beyond the season premiere? Anders isn’t actually that sure either:
“That’s up in the air right now. They haven’t picked up [my] option yet. I feel like the character has a lot of legs and you can go in many different directions with him. But ultimately it’s [executive producer] Kevin Williamson’s choice.”
Meanwhile, Anders is keeping himself busy with a guest role on SyFy’s “Warehouse 13” that involves time travel.
