Tim Burton and Johnny Depp have been collaborating on a feature film version of the television show Dark Shadows, and for quite some time the project had seemed to be stalled out. Now, Seth Grahame-Smith has reportedly signed on to write the film, replacing John August who was the first writer attached to the project.
Deadline reports that Grahame-Smith landed the job based on the strength of his novel Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, which is being adapted into a feature film with Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov producing. With Grahame-Smith on board, the film is now scheduled to start shooting in January.
