CW To Follow SMALLVILLE With Adaptation of DC Comics’ RAVEN

As we reported to you in August, The CW was looking to team up with DC Comics again in adapting another comic book character into a television series, following the success of exiting series, Smallville. This next series will center on Raven aka Rachel Roth. The network has tapped Diego Gutierrez (V) to executive produce and write the series.

The character of Raven was created by Marv Wolfman and George Perez. She is “the daughter of a human and a demon who has empath abilities” who can “teleport and control her ‘soul-self,’ which can fight physically, as well as act as Raven’s eyes and ears away from her body.”

This isn’t the first time Raven’s been on television. You might remember her voiced by Tara Strong (The Super Hero Squad Show, Drawn Together) on the animated series Teen Titans that aired on The CW from 2003 to 2006.

So what do you think? After Smallville‘s tenth and final season, will you be ready for Raven?

Here’s what the CW and Warner Bros Television were looking for in their next DC comic adaptation.
