COWBOYS AND ALIENS Starts Shooting In July And May Be In 3D

Director Jon Favreau is apparently not too fond of down-time! In July, not too long after the May release of Iron Man 2, The Daily Beast is reporting that both he and Robert Downey, Jr. will start shooting Cowboys and Aliens. Also, thanks to the success of James Cameron’s Avatar, it could be heading to us in 3-D. Cowboys and Aliens is currently scheduled for a Summer 2011 release.

Cowboys and Aliens is a 2006, cross-genre graphic novel series, created by Scott Mitchell Rosenberg. The story follows “an extraterrestrial species as it lands in Arizona in the mid-1800s. The aliens plan to quash the Wild West and enslave humanity, but the cowboys and native Apache have other plans.”
